About Presenter
"Maria Helena Rivero is a well-rounded professional originally from Caracas, Venezuela. Throughout the past year, she has worked as Research Assistant at the Center for the Environment, Energy, and the Economy at Harrisburg University of Science and Technology sponsored by the Presidential Grant Award 2020. Maria Helena's experience in multiple organizational settings (corporate, small firms, non-profit organizations) allowed gathering perspectives on information knowledge management, data analysis, business processes, and most importantly the significance of establishing solid professional relationships among team members to achieve desired goals collaboratively. Also, she values intellectual growth and currently explores the field of Data Science, conducting academic research collaboratively about Machine Learning applied to the environmental science. Also, she has published an initial research in the healthcare field addressing the significance of introducing analytics with open-source software platforms. Maria Helena's academic credentials include a BS/BA, MBA, and recently graduated obtaining a MS in Information Systems Engineering and Management from Harrisburg University of Science and Technology. She has strong work ethic and strive to generate social impact with every project that I decide to engage with. Also, change management is fascinating to her since I have had to reivent myself as an immigrant and within different job roles throughout her career. Finally, Contemporary Art is one of her passions since it allows the understanding of a diversity and empathy of the previous and current societal issues."
