About Speaker

Gina Villafañe is a Panamanian Electronic Engineer (UP, Panama, 2004), who holds a B.A. in Sound for Film (EICTV, 2007), MsC in Supply Chain Engineering (GIT, USA, 2016) . Since June 2020 serves as the Information Science Consultant at National Innovation Authority of Panama (AIG). She was responsible for the design of data mining algorithms for epidemiological monitoring, production of indicators and statistical analysis of the Ministry of Health. And responsible for the design of the vaccinometer data set for the PanaVAC19 operation nationwide. More recently, IEEE ComSoc Panama Chapter recognized her with the outstanding professionals award during the pandemic COVID-19.
