About Speaker

Tommy Garcia is a data engineer that’s spent over a decade helping organizations turn their information into insights. After graduating from Carleton College, he spent the next four years as a data warehousing consultant specializing in massively parallel processing systems in the retail, health insurance, and finance industries. After working for business intelligence and marketing analytics, Tommy brought his abilities to the public sector to work on criminal justice reform at the New York City Mayor’s Office of Criminal Justice. Here, he specialized in integrating data from a wide variety of criminal justice agencies to create analytic models that spanned the entire system. After being introduced to Snowflake’s technology in 2021 he saw its potential to revolutionize the way governments help disparate agencies work together with data, and decided to join the team.
