Improving Access to Clinical Trials
Ms. Albertson has over a decade of management experience in direct oversight of the conduct of cancer clinical trials at Geisinger. She is the Administrative Lead for Geisinger’s multi-million-dollar research grant from the National Cancer Institute aimed to provide access to clinical trials for patients at community cancer programs. She has extensive experience in research of barriers to clinical trials accrual and what it takes for organizations to provide access to clinical trials for patients in rural areas of Pennsylvania.

Facing a New Diagnosis of Lung Cancer and Treatment Options
Dr. Bauman is a head and neck and thoracic oncologist at Fox Chase Cancer Center. Her primary research goal is to design innovative interventions to improve the quality of life, end of life, and supportive care for patients with head and neck and thoracic malignancies and their families. As the Head and Neck Medical Oncology disease site leader at Fox Chase, she is actively involved in clinical trial development and implementation for new treatments for patients with advanced head and neck malignancies.

Dr. Skandan is a medical oncologist at Lehigh Valley Health Network with a special interest in breast cancer. She also oversees various activities of the cancer committee at the Lehigh Valley Cancer Institute to provide high quality care for cancer patients.

Multidisciplinary Care in the Treatment of Cancer
Ms. Sevedge is the Director of Cancer Support Services at the Lehigh Valley Cancer Institute where she implements and manages teams who provide a multitude of services including oncology psychosocial support, nutrition, cancer education and outreach, multidisciplinary clinical teams, cancer risk assessment and genetic counseling, patient navigation and survivorship care.
