Innovative Virtual Team Leadership Tactics

In today’s work world, where much of the work is happening in a distributed team environment, project leaders may find themselves in unfamiliar territory, navigating a virtual world that has changed. Traditional leadership methods and tactics that were once effective for leading a project team, even a virtual project team, may no longer work due to the changing work environments and life situations for virtual teams. For some distributed workers, what was once a quiet work environment at the dining room table is now the central hub of daily activity for the entire family including school work and multiple Zoom calls going on at the same time. For others, the stresses of family and illness, feelings of isolation, and an upheaval in normal routines may be causing added life pressures affecting their productivity. At the end of this session , participants will be able to apply innovative approaches to project team leadership in our new, distributed virtual work world.
