About Presenter
Joe has been a student of change management and innovation for many years. He has spent 35 years working within PA state government and 15 of those years working with state agencies to create positive change. Joe focused his efforts on building commitments to change, helping agencies redesign business processes, and to involve staff in creating environments for providing extraordinary customer service and innovation. He brings a wealth of knowledge and understanding of government, its culture, and what it takes to enhance its business functions. In addition to his change management activities, Joe has also led a variety of projects which included single internal projects to more complex interagency projects involving team members from multiple agencies. Joe has worked with all Commonwealth agencies by providing change management training, facilitating and managing cross-agency projects and redesigning business processes within the Department of Human Services, Revenue, Insurance, Conservation, and Natural Resources, Office of Administration, and the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission. Additionally, Joe is a full-time corporate faculty member at Harrisburg University of Science and Technology specializing in project and risk management, procurement, agile lean transformational leadership, organizational leadership, and emotional intelligence for project managers. Joe is a certified emotional intelligence coach. Joe holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the Kutztown University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Public Administration from the Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania and is a doctoral candidate at North Central University. Joe is an elected borough council member in Wormleysburg where he and his wife Karen reside, along with their Labradoodle. They have two grown children (Lukas and Annie) and one grandchild.
