Track 1: Agile in Action | Room: 1258
Joey Spooner, Kanban Coach and Trainer, TriTech Enterprise Systems

Surviving and thriving as a small business can be a lot like a boxing match that repeats all too frequently. Challenges in your environment, with your partners, and the people supporting your services can lead to myriad of decisions that must be made in order to survive and grow. This experience report will share the challenges and knowledge gained when a company using the Kanban Method decides not to rehire existing positions while continuing to provide the same level of service to its internal and external customers. I’ll discuss how we used the Kanban Cadences to give us a “wake up” call and how we modified our way of working when necessary in order to continue sustaining delivery of sales, finance, and people related services.
