About Speaker
With over 16 years of experience serving the citizens of the commonwealth at the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue (DOR), Torrence Miller is currently a Senior Analyst in the Strategic Planning and Performance division within the Bureau of Process Reinvention, Innovation and Strategic Management. He has his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Elizabethtown College and most recently, completed a Data Analytics certificate from the Data Analytics Institute at the Harrisburg University of Science and Technology. Since starting as a customer service agent in 2005, Torrence has held various positions at the department educating taxpayers, training field collectors, implementing tax systems, and participating in several projects to further the department’s mission to fairly, efficiently, and accurately administer Pennsylvania tax and Lottery programs. In his current role, Torrence leads the RPA project, manages the department’s results management system, serves as the agency data steward, and maintains DOR’s Governor’s Executive Budget Program measures. Torrence lives in Mechanicsburg with his wife and two son’s and in his free time enjoys rooting for Pitt and coaching baseball and basketball to youth in the community.
