About Speaker
TaLisa Ramos-Watts is a skilled DEI educator, strategist, workshop facilitator, and a certified clinical trauma professional. A licensed Social Worker in the state of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor's and Master's in Social Work, for the past 13 years TaLisa has dedicated herself to cultivating an environment of equity and inclusion in higher education, health care, government, and community settings. TaLisa has created comprehensive and effective equity and inclusion strategic plans for several agencies and institutions, as well as implemented various intercultural mentorship and support programs, increasing Black, Indigenous, Latine, and Asian recruitment and retention rates. In the mental health field, TaLisa's clinical experiences includes inpatient and partial hospitalization, outpatient care, emergency room psychiatric services, and case management. Her areas of unique focus are identity development, intergenerational trauma, and cultural healing, to which she utilizes a comprehensive and client centered approach through trauma informed care and intersectionality. Currently TaLisa serves as the Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Education for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and tasked with providing DEI education and trainings, strategic planning support, and establishing trauma informed approaches to state government.
