Right People, Right Seat
Highly effective project teams may be primarily a product of highly effective project leaders, but the inverse is also true: Project leaders are judged by the effectiveness and performance of the teams they lead. One of the keys to a project leader’s success is having the right people in the right seats. Identifying the skills needed to be successful in a position is only one part of the equation. Properly assessing people for those skills, developing talent in team members, maximizing hard and soft skills, and creating an environment that fosters growth and learning are also critical for a leader to maximize the performance potential of any team.
