Katherine Marconi, Ph.D, MS

Recently retired from The University of Maryland University College (UMUC) where she was Associate Vice-Dean of the Business and Management Department and Chair of their Health Informatics MS Program, Katherine now designs and teaches online global, public health, and health informatics courses for three University of Maryland System colleges. In 2016 she co-taught the first Maryland System Center for Academic Innovation Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) in partnership with EdX. Previously she directed health data collection, evaluation, and analytics internationally for PEPFAR (The President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief), nationally for The Ryan White Care Act, and for State of Pennsylvania’s chronic disease programs. In 2015 she co-edited with Harold Lehmann, PhD. MS Big Data and Health Analytics (CRC Press). She recently was appointed a peer reviewer for CAHIIM (The Commission for Accreditation of Health Informatics and Information Management Programs).
