Objectives

Upon successful completion of the program, participants will be able to:

  • Differentiate anterior shoulder conditions benefitting from surgical versus non-surgical management
  • Describe common interventions associated with anterior shoulder conditions
  • Identify the common findings of the clinical examination of the anterior shoulder based on the various clinical presentations
  • Differentiate ulnar sided wrist conditions benefitting from surgical versus non-surgical management
  • Describe common interventions associated with ulnar sided wrist conditions
  • Identify the common findings of the clinical examination of the ulnar sided wrist based on the various clinical presentations
  • Identify components of a cervical clearing exam
  • Discuss common conditions of the upper extremity that are associated with a need to clear the cervical spine
  • Describe appropriate progressions and regressions of upper extremity exercises
  • Discuss exercise dosing based on phase, acuity and genre of injury in upper extremity pathologies
